In the evening together with friends of mine I went to Stardust in Qui Si Sana (a disco at the time), and many of those who have rehearsed during the day at Tigne`, ended up at the disco admiring the New Romantic sounds of The Human League, Soft Cell, Depeche Mode, etc. Chi-2 were there as well. Nostalgia!!

I must know you then Mozzer ! Haha Stardust , I was a headbanger then , I can still remember the bunch of us reaching out for the dancefloor when 'eye of the tiger ' was played LOL. I knew that song sucked then let alone know. I was more involved in Tigne in the late 80's though. 87 onwards. Honestly I could write a book about those days. The stories are unlimited and frankly hilarious. I used to together with gaggu play in a band called The Faith. Our reharsel roon was next to Passion Blade's. When we played simultaneously we couldn't hear ourselves. There was a great feeling amongst the bands then , everyone was in it for a laugh really. Maltese rocknroll vs the cockroaches the invaded those rooms. In The years before though I used to hang around Tigne barricks quite a bit. I remember the first gigs there, Eric il-punk , Davy Jones, then later I used to hang around with Subverts & their crowd , Michael Bugeja , Joe Lombardi , Testa etc etc.

well, if you're up for any nostalgia - visit the reciprocal records website - you can download 'break the chains' of the subverts - it's got great production - was surprised personally.

oh it seems i didn't write mine yet
norm rejection filetti & friends the riffs (i have their 1978 demo and fuckin hell - they had some great material there) lynch beangrowers (of course!!) lumiere spooky monkey (responsible for enjoying my first uhm mdma drop) dripht (back in their heyday heheheheh, only missed their public gigs once) elite cookie mode the i-skandal ras mass debate noetic bni
ok 14 bands, and 2 of them i used to play in - but hey, they're still among my faves. They all have something i can relate to, from knocking my bones out at their gigs, to some great tunes, to actual being fundamental element to who i am now.

oh man
please dont get me going about the great old days about tigne.
Tigne was the best thing that ever happened to my life, it completetly changed my life (to the worst)...and to the better at the same time..lol
the amount of bands that played at that place was incredible and it was a great scene and feel honoured that i was part of that scene for around 5 years.
I played with the faith (with jeanz member of this forum) and Abstrass. (with eric il-punk)
just to mention a few local bands which i liked at the time :
Subverts The Unexplained Rifffs Davey Jones
just to mention a few that

Stratkast? Fog? 43 Ltd.? Overdose? The Exit (before turning into Getting Closer ), Artwork? Chi2? Lyme Harbour, B3....anyhoot, just thought that I'd refresh some memories or whatever.

How many drummers does it take to change a light bulb?
10 - 1 to change the bulb and 9 others to tell him how much better Neil Peart could have done it.
