I was browsing thru the Neverending White Lights forum and the man himself Daniel Victor listed his best albums for 2006. Now 'Bluffers Guide to the Flight Deck' was actually released in 2004(europe) and 2005 (US) but anyway Victor listed this album as his best for 2006. I don't know if they have been mentioned here before but these guys are really really good. Somehow and stuipidly acutallu I assumed they were american since 1.Neverending white Lights are canadian and when I heard them they did sound american. These guys tho are from London. They've got that errie Mercury rev/Flaming lips/Sparklehorse kinda sound but much more than that. First of all thay add alot of traditional instruments to that typical sound but their music also fuses chamber/pop and even space rock. They're quite a mysterious bunch, no band pics on their website (their bio is about a bunch of explorers LOL) or myspace page. Their music is really mesmerising and extremely clever.Tip ta' band li tghid ...il-ostra kemm huma bravi. Really you have to listen to the album as a whole rather than just browse thru their songs on myspace but just in case www.myspace.com/flotationtoywarning
