Hmmm don't agree with you on that one bob. Keane's album was a true masterpiece, from start to finish. Knowing some of your musical tendencies however, I would have thought you prefered HAL to Keane, since they have a more carefree and oh-the-world-is-so-beautiful-and-perfect air about them, just like you like it. The other day I got hold of a song you said you really liked, if I'm not mistaken. "The Boy Least Likely To - Be Gentle With Me". Couldn't believe my ears. I was like, how can he like this? One of the gayest songs I have ever heard nonetheless explains perfectly the above argument of why you prefer HAL to Keane.

I guess so Im a fan of indiepop so I do like that stuff. Im a big belle and sebastian fan so that tickles my fancy. I wouldn't call it gay, fey but not gay. The lead singer send me the occaisonal e-mail and he is literally a very gentle guy.
their music reminds me of dexys midnight runners

Fair enough bob. I agree that if you're that much into indiepop, then HAL are a great outfit.
I just prefer the darker side of some Keane songs ...... I tend to go for such darker, slower songs from each band I hear ......
Examples:
Keane - She Has No Time Placebo - My Sweet Prince, Centrefolds Depeche Mode - Stripped, Sister Of Night Morrissey - Late Night Maudlin Street Bloc Party - Compliments Ultravox - Lament Coldplay - Bigger Stronger, See You Soon The Cure - To wish Impossible Things
Anyways, I think you know what I'm hinting at ....
