Listening to Antics I could not stop thinking of a handful of bands but one sole singer! Personally I believe that this band has got a unique Post Punk sound, but on the other hand I got snap shots especially those from The Wedding Present and Bauhaus. Paul Banks's voice resembles that of Ian Curtis and one cannot deny that. For you who would hit back saying that this is a far fetched statement, then I would repolish my line by stating that this is what Ian Curtis's voice would have sounded like in 2005!!
Fav. tracks -- Basically all.

Finally I got my hands on the Interpol CD. It def. is one of those albums which I instantly liked ... I do agree with mozzer on the resemblance with Ian Curtis' voice.

I have to agree that this is a very very good album. I did not like it instantly but upon third and fourth listen I succumbed to it.
Paul Banks' voice is more than reminiscent of Curtis' baritone but it still sends a shiver down my spine.
Not Even Jail ad Evil are my fave tracks so far

I find no fault with antics.
Really love that album
I doubt however they can change their sound much. PAul Bank's voice is too particular to be particularly versatile.

saying that Interpol's strength lies in the rhythm section - its the bass and drums which overpower in the long run.
