wow three weeks and i am truly addicted to p-fork tv. There was a great Air documentary last week and now there's a headache inducing visual feast that is soundtracked by madman Dan Deacon.

i'm loving this too. keeping me good company on my new job. today i really enjoyed White Williams vs TV Carnage: New Violence and Crystal Castles: Courtship Dating - great tracks.
Also worth a mention: Le Loup - Planes like Vultures, Rjd - The Horror, Foals - Slated and the band High Places which i really enjoyed listening continuously.

hehe this week there's a GG Allin documentary - NOT for the faint heart. Unless you the high point of your day is seeing a guy stuff a banana up his rear end, defecate onstage and jump around in the nude screaming nihilistic lyrics.

Crystal Castles They've been getting mad reviews everywhere and apparently were one of the highlights of SXSW.

I think they deserve it though, their fractured video game sound is quite fresh and oddly dancey.

Have to agree bob. The song featured on Pitchfork, "Courtship Date" is simply amazing. And Alice (the singer) has got stunningly good looks going for her as well.
I was going to say their sound reminds me of my old Atari and Amiga games back in the mid 80's and early 90's. "Crystal Castles" was indeed an old Atari video-game.

just heard the album of crystal castles... interesting sounds but it tired me out after a few spins... too much Arkanoid stuff in it. Well that's original at least!

i heard it as well as it's part of may's rough trade album club pack (you get to hear albums in full, but the mp3 player stops every 30 seconds) - I know what you mean, it is quite bleepy but it does sound different to what's being done at the mo.
