vera prosit pawl!
you should feel really proud about having discovered such a wonderful band!
I have the album 'Different Stars' - it's simply wonderful, especially 'love is blindness', which I can't help but listening to over and over again

Well there are some fantastic covers though which sometimes transcend the original. (no jokes about bed covers please)

Re. Trespassers William, I can't seem to find their music anywhere dammit Such an example, in my opinion, is Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah" .... not that Cohen's version was bad, but this is simply sublime.

Mind you John Cale's version is nothing to sneeze at either

Just received their latest - found it on my bed back from work for break quoting the attached label: this unique collaboration between TW and producer Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev, Mogwai) has created a poweful album of sparkling beauty, crackling distortion and long, serene ambienceso so happy

what about these as a review: "The band trespassers william is that rare group, like the Cocteau Twins and Sigur Rós, able to stir the air with a mix of emotive vocals, effects-drenched guitar, spacious sounds and intricate melodies. It's a recipe best heard to appreciate, and that's exactly what an increasing number of listeners are doing. Sigur Rós' latest effort "Takk " was one of the best albums of 2005... and trespassers william has matched that style of brilliance on its third full-length effort, Having." - Orange County Register "Epic musical soundscapes mixed with the beautiful voice of Anna-Lynne Williams make for one of the most relaxing, after lights-out experiences since Sigur Ros’ ( ) ...How I’ve managed to let trespassers william escape through my musical net is beyond me – this is a masterpiece, and given the right exposure they could do a Sigur Ros on us and become the next big “underground” success." -Sominty.com i have a crush guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -pawlumizzi.com

Different Stars is one great album ..... no doubt about it. I was abroad for a week and it was all I could listen to on my mp3 player, despite having loads of other stuff on there. "Having" is also very good but I prefer the former by a mile. I think her voice is quite identical to Sarah Maclachlan's .... although the music and lyrics are way more dark and melancholic. It's the kind of music I love to listen to late at night, lights all off and headphones on

Been listening to Trespassers William quite a lot this week (thanks paul for the copy).
It's definitely a grower, and although my first impression was that it was a bit bland, I don't think it deserves such a derogatory remark.
Having said that, although I like it and it's quite dreamy, I don't think it is something special. A few songs are above the rest and stick out, but otherwise it doesn't interest me enough. In fact, I think in most cases it's a bit too obvious.
One suggestion. If you like Trespassers William, I think you will love THE INNOCENCE MISSION (try birds in my neighbourhood... its a very good album..)

But if 'The Innocence Mission' are similar to 'Trespassers William' - they can't be 'fantastic' while TW are just normal!
