Ryan Adams - Love is Hell pt 2 - havent heard it. not that i have a huge urge, i used to like him but i now find him more boring than a tree trunk Jeff Buckley - great Jeff Buckley - never listened to Beatles - incredible. it has got the beatles' only horrendous track but still, a fucking stellar album. Tim Buckley - Tim Buckley - greatness Tim Buckley - Hello & Goodbye - greatness Van Morrison - Astral Weeks - a tad overrated, but very good

Which would be the horrendous Beatles track? Revolution #9? After having listened to them all a fair bit I think Astral Weeks is the one that impressed me most...maybe because I wasn't expecting it to be so good. Beatles, Ryan Adams and Tim Buckley are very good too. Although you're probably right about the Jeff Buckley ones...you have to be a die-hard fan to appreciate them. But I am and I do ;D

I adore Jeff Buckley but enough is enough. Different versions of the same songs we've heard for yonks are constantly being released that I didn't even bother waste my money on the EPs. Jeff said it millions of times in interviews that he wouldn't release something he wasn't quite sure of and that's what happened with Sketches. It's such a shame that his record company and more annoyingly his own mother are making profit from Jeff's death. Shame! Shame! Shame! And the versions are not all that either.

Yes I agree with u in that it gets tiring hearing the same songs over and over. But with stuff like Sketches I can't help loving it...it might seem hypocritical, but I think the music is great even though he was planning on dumping the Verlaine sessions and might not have released the second CD either. I do feel kind of bad knowing that we're not supposed to have these recordings though sometimes.

And the more I listen to Ryan Adams' "Rock n Roll", the more I relate it to Sketches. Is it just me or some songs of Ryan's album sound like Sketches?. Even his voice sounds a bit like his in some instances, and I repeat just some instances. Bizarre!

When i do download music, i only make it through Kazaa Lite. I think it's the most efficient though it functions on P2P so you cannot really trust downloads until actually hearing them. Sometimes you'll download let's say a classic Britney Spears only to find out it's the latest from Westlife but that's only 5% of the downloads i would say. Shall we start a Thread about downloads?

Neeeeh ! Burning cds is for pussies. Sorry guys, nothing beats the real thing (unless friends happen to give me burnt cds for the hell of it). Never downloaded any anything so far so I guess I wouldn't know where to start. Dunno much about the albums you bought, except for The Beatles' masterpiece. All I have from Jeff Buckley is Grace. And that's just about where I stopped.Great album - that's why listening to his lesser works would spoil the effect. Ohhhh The White Album Nevvv has got to be the best album ever made! Hoorah! Plus Revolution #9 is prolly the most innovative track EVER. DON'T ANYONE DISS THAT TRACK, we've all pretty much rolled some excellent joints to that one, I'm sure. Every band's dream is to make an album as mind-blowing as that. Rock n roolll.

Revolution 9 is excellent!!!- It is an adventure into minimalism.
Ryan Adams was only good in Whiskeytown and thats it!
Jeff Buckley- I can only like Grace the others are cash ins.
Van Morrison- Astral weeks is an excellent album

Ryan Adams' Heartbreaker is a classic (one of my top 10 albums) and Gold is a 5-star album too.
Having said that, I can understand that its not exactly everyone's cup of tea especially with heartbreaker's heavy folk/country tinge.

Ryan Adams - Love is Hell pt 2 - Haven't heard it yet. Jeff Buckley - Grace Ep's - A trashy cash-in. Jeff Buckley - Songs to No-one - Aptly titled. A note on top of a tape of this album read Disgusto Garbage. Get it? Beatles - White Album - The Beatlesopedia. Tim Buckley - A charming debut. Tim Buckley - Hello & Goodbye - His crowning moment as a song writer. Van Morrison - A great album but I sometimes doubt that it deserves its legendary status.

i've found the best site to download stuff from is soulseek: www.slsknet.org/it's a small download and it's got a whack of features alot of the other software doesn't have. for instance, you can browse other music files a person might have. you get to find alot of good stuff that way, new stuff, stuff you may have forgotten you wanted at one point...makes finding stuff alot quicker. there's also a 'wishlist' option where you can input titles or artists of stuff you can't find at the moment while online. the next time you're online and someone happens to have the files you're looking for, you get notified. this is great for people with short-term memory problems such as myself. i could go on, but i won't because i'd suck up all the space on this thing and you'd all end up wanting to firebomb me. ssg.x.
