i thought everybody made the best of it yesterday anyway and the moment the doors opened the sad circumstances became history.
brikkuni + hunters is a dream line-up in its own right, and its great that they wanted to go ahead with it yesterday. great performances too, possibly even edgier and going the extra mile and leaving eveyone with a good taste. same with dj bob, what a great selection of gem after gem!
its brilliant that the public did not let the situation turn into a defeat either. the turnout speaks for itself. it is incredible at how understanding everyone was. how people took it into their own stride and shrugged it off.
last but not least - please do watch this space for news about rescheduling the gig with Bonnie.

Very happy to announce that a rescheduled date has now been confirmed for 8th August . Bonnie 'Prince' Billy will be here as a trio - the other 2 musicians being Emmett Kelly (guitar/vocals) & Cheyenne Mize (violin/vocals). Following the unfortunate last-minute cancellation in May, Bonnie's agent was in constant contact with us to set a new date asap. A local supporting band will be announced very soon. There is a new event page which will contain ticket details etc: www.facebook.com/stagedive.malta?ref=profile#/event.php?eid=97799427308&ref=mf

The supporting band for Bonnie 'Prince' Billy (Sat. 8th August at MITP courtyard) will be BARK BARK DISCO. Somewhere in between a Broadway musical sing-along and an Atari computer, one might find the ingredients that make the Bark Bark Disco sound. Bark Bark Disco are a 'bedroom pop' band from Malta & Berlin, with members Morris Woodcock & Charlotte amongst others. One might hear the same pop sensibility as bands like The Modern Lovers & Herman Dune, however the band have a simplistic low-fi electro sound to make the pop songs even more upbeat. So if it's simple love songs that you're into, Bark Bark Disco are a band to listen to. www.barkbarkdisco.comwww.myspace.com/barkbarkdiscowww.facebook.com/pages/bark-bark-disco/101580177880?ref=s
